Our client is Canada’s largest retailer. The AdTech gorup is looking for a Sr Data Engineer with Scala, Spark, Python, SQL and GCP experience to build out a Customer data insights engine.

- Location: North York and or Bathurst and Lakeshore.

- Duration: Until EOY - Dec 31st to start.

- Project: Building out a customer data insights tool.

Key Areas of Focus:

• Data Pipeline & Modeling: Experience building and optimizing data pipelines (batch + streaming), semantic layers, and robust data models using tools like DBT, Airflow, and GCP services (DataProc, BigQuery, Bigtable, Druid).
• Programming & Querying: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala, and strong ability to write complex SQL for data analysis and transformation.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (especially GCP), Git, and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Testing & Data Quality: Ability to implement testing strategies and data validation to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally across business units and support analytics in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Must Haves:
