As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will design, implement, and maintain the organization’s enterprise data architecture to enable secure, scalable, and high-quality data for analytics, AI, and business decision-making. In this role, you will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, defining architecture standards while actively contributing to platform build-out, data modeling, and integration work.
You will partner with business and technology teams to unify data across systems, modernize legacy environments, and ensure governance and compliance. Beyond initial implementation, you will continuously monitor and optimize the architecture to keep it efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Architecture Design and Roadmap
• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy, including principles, patterns, and reference designs.
• Develop a roadmap for modernizing legacy systems and integrating new technologies.
• Continuously evaluate emerging tools and recommend improvements to keep the architecture current and cost-efficient.
Hands-On Platform Development
• Build and configure core components of the data platform (e.g., ingestion pipelines, transformation layers, orchestration workflows).
• Implement CI/CD processes, version control, and environment management (DEV, QA, PROD).
• Optimize data storage and processing for performance and scalability.
Data Modeling and Integration
• Design and maintain enterprise data models and semantic layers to ensure consistency and usability.
• Develop integration patterns for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources using APIs, batch, and streaming.
• Support data engineers and analysts with modeling best practices and reusable components.
Governance and Compliance
• Implement data governance frameworks including cataloging, lineage, and access control.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and internal security standards through encryption, masking, and role-based access.
Operational Maintenance and Optimization
• Monitor platform health, pipeline performance, and data quality; troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
• Implement observability and alerting for data workflows to minimize downtime.
• Continuously improve architecture for cost optimization, scalability, and maintainability.
Collaboration and Enablement
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
• Mentor team members on data architecture principles and hands-on practices.
• Communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or related roles, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining modern data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and lakehouse/warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse).
• Proficiency in data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized, Data Vault) and semantic modeling for BI.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration and transformation tools (Airflow, dbt, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
• Familiarity with data governance tools and practices (e.g., data catalog, lineage, metadata management).
• Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks for data privacy and protection.
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and DataOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

As a condition of employment and in order to comply with industry related data security standards, this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal Background Check. Details will be supplied to applicants as they move through the selection process.
