Senior UKG Kronos Payroll Systems Consultant to manage, configure, and support UKG Workforce Central 8.1 platform, integrated with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

Our municipality client is looking for a Senior UKG Kronos Payroll Systems Consultant to manage, configure, and support UKG Workforce Central 8.1 platform, integrated with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.2.

This role focuses on payroll configuration, reporting, and system integrations, while serving as the primary contact for payroll-related system issues. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with payroll expertise in a unionized environment.

Note: 1 year contract to start. Fully remote, working on PST hours.

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, IT, or Business.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with UKG Kronos (Workforce Central 8.x preferred).
• Strong understanding of Canadian payroll processes, compliance, and unionized payroll requirements.
• Proficiency in Kronos configuration, WIM, SQL, and custom reporting.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne payroll integrations.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

Nice to Have

• UKG Kronos certification(s).

Duties:

• Configure and maintain UKG Workforce Central (pay rules, accruals, policies) for timekeeping, accruals, attendance, leave, and advanced scheduling modules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues using Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) and maintain integrations with JDE.
• Develop, customize, and maintain payroll reports (UKG reports, custom SQL, WIM).
• Collaborate with Payroll staff and act as the first point of contact for urgent payroll system issues, coordinating with Oracle-managed JDE support when required.
• Support payroll operations in a unionized environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to collective agreements.
• Test and validate upgrades, patches, and new features.
• Provide training, documentation, and process guidance to end-users.
