Senior ServiceNow CMDB Consultant to ensure accurate configuration data within the ServiceNow CMDB - 166721

Our GTA based, Municipal Government client is looking for a Senior ServiceNow CMDB Consultant to ensure accurate configuration data within the ServiceNow CMDB.

You will be supporting the ServiceNow Program by ensuring accurate configuration data within the ServiceNow CMDB. Responsibilities include planning, maintaining, and validating CI records, supporting integrations, and aligning CMDB processes with project deliverables, (includes planning, maintaining, and validating CI records, supporting integrations, and aligning CMDB processes with project deliverables).

1 year contract (potential extension of another year), 7 hour work day, minimum 2 work days/week on-site

Responsibilities:

• Be part of the platform team to support the optimization, automation, and governance of ServiceNow CMDB and related modules
• Ensure CMDB health and data integrity across ITOM, ITAM, and ITSM processes
• Managing certificate inventory, aligning with CSDM and ServiceNow best practice
• Maintaining audit readiness through accurate lifecycle visibility, stakeholder collaboration, and metric-driven reporting

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years experience with ServiceNow CMDB and related modules
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes: CMDB, ITAM, ITOM, ITSM
• ServiceNow CSA certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field
• Proficient in configuring CMDB classes, relationships, and integrations
• Expertise in CMDB lifecycle management aligned with CSDM
• Experience maintaining CMDB health (target: 95% accuracy)
• Skilled in resolving data quality issues (stale/duplicate discovery tasks)
• Ability to manage certificate inventory, and related ServiceNow flows
• Proficient in JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideRecord
• Experience with Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, Notifications
• Strong in ServiceNow workflows, reporting, dashboards, analytics
• Knowledge of data governance and CMDB best practices
• Preferred Certification: CAD, Certified Implementation Specialist - Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM)
