Description
Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Scrum Master (10+ years) to support agile delivery within Fraud Technology using Agile (Scrum framework) in the FinTech domain
Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)
Location: Downtown Toronto (candidate can be remote but must be able to come into the office]
Join an established Fraud Technology team operating within a high-impact FinTech environment focused on agile delivery and continuous improvement. The role drives enhancements to fraud applications across digital experiences, guiding teams through complex delivery cycles while maintaining alignment to enterprise standards. This contract engagement offers visibility across product, technology, and operations within a leading banking organization.
Must Haves
- Agile Certification (required): CSM®, PSM® or equivalent. .
- 7+ years in delivery roles, including 5+ years as a Scrum Master in complex digital environments; strong background in FinTech and Fraud domains.
- Methodology Expertise: Proven capability operating across Agile (Scrum/Kanban); deep familiarity with Agile Standards & Practices, PMLC, and SDLC.
- Tools: Expert-level proficiency with Jira (SOR), Confluence,
- Delivery Excellence: Track record leading large, cross-functional teams to successful outcomes (scope, schedule, budget, quality).
- Communication & Influence: In-depth/expert verbal and written communication, analytical problem-solving, and influence skills; able to manage ambiguity and operate effectively in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for multiple agile squads and facilitate core ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Remove delivery impediments, protect team focus, and promote velocity through continuous improvement
- Maintain Jira boards, sprint plans, and dashboards ensuring accurate tracking of dependencies and progress
- Apply Agile Standards, PMLC, and SDLC to support project activities and operational readiness requirements
- Partner with Product Owners on backlog refinement, prioritization, and definition of done to align with business goals
- Track and assess team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity and burndown
- Prepare presentations and delivery reports for enterprise-level stakeholders
