Role Overview

The SAP CIS Billing Lead is responsible for the end-to-end design leadership, configuration governance, and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing within a large-scale Utilities Customer Information System (CIS) transformation program. Operating within a System Integrator-led delivery model, this role owns solution integrity across billing schemas, rate design, billing execution, and invoicing, ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable billing outcomes through go-live and stabilization.

The Billing Lead works closely with Device Management, AMI/MDM, FI-CA, and Customer Operations teams to ensure seamless meter-to-cash execution and high-quality customer billing experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing within a CIS program
• Own solution integrity across billing schemas, rate structures, billing execution, invoicing, and corrections
• Govern billing configuration, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices, regulatory requirements, and Hydro One standards
• Oversee billing execution, including mass billing, billing exceptions, rebilling, and bill corrections
• Lead and coordinate functional testing activities (unit, integration, UAT), including defect triage and resolution
• Partner closely with Device Management, AMI/MDM, FI-CA, and Customer Operations to ensure accurate end-to-end integration
• Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization related to billing cycles
• Act as the primary functional authority for billing-related decisions, risks, and issue resolution
• Provide leadership and guidance to billing functional team members within the SI delivery model

Must Haves

• Extensive hands-on experience leading SAP IS-U Billing within Utilities CIS programs
• Strong expertise in billing execution, exception handling, rebilling, and bill corrections
• Proven experience owning functional design and configuration governance in complex SAP programs
• Experience working within System Integrator-led delivery models
• Strong understanding of end-to-end utilities processes, including meter-to-cash
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with large regulated utilities and high-volume billing environments
• Exposure to greenfield CIS or S/4HANA Utilities programs
• Experience supporting AMI/MDM integrations and billing-related cutover activities
