Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Project Manager (8-10+ years) to lead Finance operations projects using SAP S/4HANA FICO and PeopleSoft Financials

Join a high-visibility Finance Operations environment managing strategic SAP and PeopleSoft system enhancements supporting enterprise-level initiatives. This role oversees end-to-end project delivery within the SAP Delivery team, including scope, schedule, cost, and quality ownership. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and technology on complex programs driving modernization of financial platforms. The position offers strong exposure to modern SAP capabilities and potential for contract extension or conversion.

Must Haves

  • 8-10+ years in project management within technology delivery environments
  • Experience managing PeopleSoft Financials and/or SAP projects including S/4HANA FICO, MDG, and Group Reporting
  • Background in Finance systems delivery with proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication across business and technology teams
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and SDLC

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP S/4 FICO, MDG, or Group Reporting modules
  • PeopleSoft Financials system experience
  • General accounting process knowledge
  • Background in banking or financial services

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Finance projects aligned with defined scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide status updates to senior leadership
  • Maintain project documentation including plans, reports, risks, and change requests
  • Analyze business requirements and assess solution options for feasibility and impact
  • Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and financial impacts
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise project governance standards and SDLC practices
  • Collaborate with business, technology, and vendor partners to deliver key initiatives
