Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Project Manager (10+ years) to lead transformation programs within Global Risk Management

Join an enterprise banking environment driving strategic initiatives within the Transformation Office of Global Risk Management. The role focuses on delivering complex, business-led programs such as Third-Party Risk Modernization and Capital Model Development aligned with regulatory and audit requirements. This position offers executive-level visibility, high-impact transformation scope, and long-term potential for extension or conversion. Candidates will lead projects with budgets up to $20MM, influencing outcomes across multiple risk domains.

Must Haves

  • 10+ years in project management applying PMBOK principles across enterprise transformation programs
  • Strong proficiency with Clarity, MS Project, and SharePoint repositories for program control and execution
  • Experience in managing business-led transformation and risk management initiatives within large organizations
  • Post-secondary education

Nice to Have

  • Background in banking risk management functions
  • Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) project experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Experience with capital model development or regulatory model programs (IRB/AIRB, IFRS9)

Responsibilities

  • Direct strategic projects and oversee integrated delivery across multiple business lines
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end program plans, milestones, and schedules
  • Lead program lifecycle execution and coordinate business, operations, and technology workstreams
  • Engage senior stakeholders at the SVP and VP levels through briefings and status communications
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams ensuring regulatory and transformation objectives are met
  • Chair steering committees and forums reviewing project progress and issue escalation
  • Manage budgets up to $20MM and negotiate contracts with external vendors for program delivery

Education:

Post-secondary education

PMI/PMP an asset - experience is prioritized

  • Brings a strong track record of leading complex, enterprise-scale programs, ideally within risk management or financial services
  • Demonstrates the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment across multiple lines of business
  • Possesses excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
  • Has experience managing regulatory, model development, or risk transformation initiatives (e.g., IRB/AIRB, IFRS9, TPRM)
  • Proactively identifies risks, dependencies, and opportunities, and drives outcomes with minimal oversight
  • Experience with tools, frameworks, and governance aligned to enterprise PM standards (e.g., EDF/PMBOK)
