Summary of Role:

The project coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Manager/Project Manager in organizing and managing projects. This includes coordinating project activities, managing scheduling, and ensuring that project deadlines are met. The Project Coordinator works closely with the project team members and stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. - RQ00172


Background:

Our client has an electronic payment system that allows transit users in the GTHA and Ottawa to use different payment methods to move between and within transit systems. Our client makes transit travel easier and more convenient across our 11 participating agencies, and our scheme is growing to accommodate additional agencies and partner with new mobility providers and partners.

Our client is also undertaking a major procurement and transformation exercise to upgrade the their systems and services over the next three years. Currently work in is progress for multiple procurements, and the planning for the implementation and transition planning to to achieve this.


Duration - Nov 3, 2025 to May 3, 2026 with a possibility of extension

7.25 Hours per day

Work mode - Onsite 5 days per week

Location - 20 Bay St


Primary Responsibilities:

• Manages assigned tasks to contribute to the delivery of the clients Security Projects.

• Supports Project Managers /Senior Project managers through all stages of definition, procurement, and implementation, and ensures adherence to technical and quality requirements, budget, schedule, and approvals.

• Ensuring project team adheres to provided timelines and deliverables.

• Ensuring documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project.

• Communicating plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders

• Solving any issues that may arise during the project.

• Managing and building relationships with multiple teams

• Assisting the Project Manager with administrative functions and processes

• Managing day-to-day activities for the Project Management team

• Analysing project data and producing progress reports


Must Haves

  • Strong Communication Skills : Ability to clearly convey ideas, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment across teams and leadership.
  • Organizational & Planning Abilities : Experience in managing complex projects with multiple dependencies, timelines, and resources-ensuring delivery within scope and budget.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Experience with project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
  • Experience in managing IT infrastructure and security-related projects
