Our client is looking for a Senior Microsoft Copilot SME with strong Purview experience to lead end to end deployment, governance, and optimization of Copilot across Microsoft 365.

This role requires you to be onsite in Airdrie 3 days/week

Must haves:

• Must have experience leading/implementing Copilot
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and security/compliance solutions
• Experience designing data governance frameworks
• Experience with Purview

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary SME for Microsoft Copilot (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Security Copilot)
• Define Copilot adoption strategy, use cases, and rollout plans
• Advise stakeholders on Copilot capabilities, limitations, and best practices
• Support prompt engineering standards and reusable prompt patterns
• Enable business users and IT teams through training, workshops, and documentation
• Design and implement Microsoft Purview controls to secure Copilot usage
• Assess data exposure risks and prevent oversharing via Copilot
• Define and enforce policies for data classification and retention
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.)
• Configure Copilot readiness across Microsoft 365 workloads:
• Establish Copilot governance models, guardrails, and usage guidelines
• Monitor Copilot activity using Purview audit and reporting
• Identify and remediate data exposure and compliance risks
• Support internal and external audits related to AI and data usage
• Partner with learning and engagement for training
