Senior ESB Middleware Developer

Start Date: September 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025

Term: 4 Months

Hybrid (once in a month/2 months on site)

Must Haves:

1. Lead, hands on experience with IBM MQ/ESB 4-5 Years
2. MQ / ESB Setup. Troubleshooting & Maintenance 7-10 Years
3. Management or oversight of delivery of complex systems and enterprise applications 4-5 Years
4. Strong Documentation Skills including MS Excel, Visio, MS Project 4-6 Years
5. Working knowledge of Java virtual machine platform 2-3 Years
6. Working knowledge of enterprise application monitoring 2-3 years
7. Lead, hands on experience with IBM MQ/ESB 4-5 Years

Knowledge & Skills

· Knowledge of ESB / MQ integrations with legacy components

· College or University degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

· Enterprise systems and application delivery 6-7 years

· IBM Certified Solution Provider in WebSphere MQ

· TOGAF Certification (Will be an asset)

· Business Process Analysis (Will be an asset)

· Proficient in MS Office suite with priority on Excel (Advanced Excel will be a definite asset)

· Experience with all or some of the follow

• Enterprise Accounts and Claims software such as Guidewire
• Proven experience with enterprise messaging such as IBM MQ / ESB
• Experience working with Java Virtual Machine platform, application delivery or administration
• Working knowledge of service management and productivity tools such as Service Now, Jira, Confluence (Will be an asset)

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of artifacts from other streams and appropriate escalations in time

2. Responsible for WMQ clustering and multi-instance message broker

3. Ensure quality oversight for technical architecture and implementation of middleware, integration system design, production implementation of multi-instance message flows

4. Responsible for oversight and design of secured HA IIB framework

5. Provide QA/Testing teams with support on problem determination and resolution of integration issues

6. Ability to be a technical interface between engineering and QA/Testing teams to provide innovative and efficient approach to integrations between environmental components

7. Provide reports, minutes and presentation materials related to integrations

8. Documentation of all integration aspects

9. Follow industry trends and software developments to assist in creating a roadmap for the Enterprise Integration group

10. Ensure Service Level Agreements are met for applications supported

11. Work on changeman deployments and maintenance activities
