Job Title: IT - Business Systems Analyst

Line of Business: Digital Technology

Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - in office every weds and 3rd Friday *Mandatory. Onsite frequency are subject to change based on The Bank's requirements.

Office Location: 81 Bay 17th Floor


Responsibilities

lead complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to the Bank’s enterprise architecture roadmap. As a Business Systems Consultant, you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.

How You’ll Succeed

• Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with Product Owners and business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. It’s an asset if you have experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, Confluence, Jira, user story writing, Use Case Activity Diagrams and experience with Web based and mobile applications.

• Solution Design - Work with Solution Architects and Application Consultants to deliver client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

• Leading and Mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

The main function of a business systems analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.


Job Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.

• Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.

• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.

• Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.

• Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.

• Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.

• Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.

Must Have Requirement:

- 8+ years of experience as a BSA with previous FI experience

- Confluence/JIRA/MS Teams/ALM

- Expert in use case activity diagrams and transforming use cases into stories/scenarios/acceptance criteria for Dev/QA workflow and consumption

- Previous mobile banking experience

- Technical acumen

- Previous API experience

- Computer science education


Nice to Have:

- CBAP Certification

- Experience working on AI projects *strong nice to have


Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
