Our valued public sector client is hiring a Senior Azure Senior Data Integration Specialist to support the migration and integration of SAP Logistics Platform data into the enterprise Azure cloud environment.

Background:

The organization is undertaking a large-scale data modernization initiative to transition critical SAP data (Finance, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Asset Management) from its existing SAP BI/BW environment into the Azure cloud. This effort will enable secure, scalable, and high-performance analytics through Azure Synapse and Power BI, forming the foundation for Defence’s enterprise reporting and readiness initiatives. The specialist will lead the design and implementation of Azure-based data pipelines, ensuring seamless, compliant, and optimized integration between SAP and Azure.

Job Tasks:

• Build and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines to extract and move SAP BI/BW data (FI, SCM, EAM) into Azure Synapse and ADLS Gen2.
• Develop and optimize data transformation and semantic models to support analytics and enterprise reporting.
• Design secure, scalable data architectures conforming to ITSG-33 and departmental data governance standards.
• Integrate and standardize SAP master data, reference data, and transactional datasets within the Azure ecosystem.
• Enable Power BI reporting by ensuring performant and accurate data availability through Azure services.
• Implement metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging using Azure Purview.
• Collaborate with SAP BI/BW and analytics teams to align migration, testing, and validation activities.
• Support knowledge transfer and internal capability-building for Azure data integration and analytics.

• SAP BI/BW - 10+ years
• Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS Gen2
• Secret Clearance
• Controlled Goods Certification
