Position Title: Business Analyst - Senior

Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid - 2-3 days in office - Subject to change according to organizational needs.

Tuesday and Wednesday each week, and fourth Friday of the month.

Office Location: 81 Bay 14th Floor


Line of Business: Environment, Social, and Governance // Technology, Infrastructure & Innovation


What does the LOB do?: Supporting regulatory initiatives/requirements regarding environmental, social, governance matters- reporting disclosures (e.g., carbon, physical risk, geo-coding, etc.).

Reason the role is open? Additional team member required to support regulatory initiative (OSFI B-15) - analysis of address-level data, including the implementation of geo-coding functionality to support latitude and longitude mapping in place of postal codes. This change is driven by regulatory requirements and will have downstream impacts on credit systems.

- Accuracy and cleanliness of address-level data.

- Identifying and recommending remediation strategies to technology partners.

- Translation of technical finings.

Job Description:


Analytical Skills

• Lead requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear documentation.

• Conduct data and gap analysis to assess current systems and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Perform root cause analysis to uncover underlying issues affecting business performance.

• Evaluate solution options and provide recommendations based on feasibility, impact, and alignment with business goals.

• Deliver decision support through data-driven insights and reporting.


Technical Skills

• Conduct systems analysis to understand and document system interactions, dependencies, and integration points.

• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process flows, and functional specifications.

• Support testing and quality assurance activities, including test case development, UAT coordination, and defect tracking.

Business & Domain Knowledge

• Apply a working understanding of the ESG landscape and regulatory requirements to support compliance and sustainability initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, IT, vendors, and external partners.

• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to ensure alignment and transparency across stakeholders.



Must Have Requirement:

7-10 experience as a Business Analyst (prior experience in a Big 5 bank may be useful)

Experience conducting data and gap analysis to guide business decisions

Experience with User Acceptance Testing and post-implementation testing

Experience with regulatory or compliance initiatives (OSFI B-15 is relevant to this role)

Proficiency with SQL and SAS for data navigation, analysis, and quality assessment

Developing BRDs and other technical documentation

Stakeholder engagement, ability to interface with technical and non-technical teams

Nice to Have:

Previous experience with banking

Understanding of ESG landscape and regulatory frameworks

CBAP certification
