Position: Jr/Int. IT Financial Analyst to develop PowerBI Dashboards and perform in depth analysis for a major insurance client - 916

Duration: 1 year with possible extension/conversion to FT

Location: Hybrid 2x on site (Toronto/Montreal)

Must Haves:

• 3+ years as a Financial Analyst performing financial reporting, accounting, business intelligence, data visualization
• Financial forecasting, analyzing trends
• 3+ years exp with Power BI, Power Query, DAX formulas, Excel.
• Developing and maintaining dashboards
• Advanced MS Excel (Pivot tables, Macros)

Nice to Haves:

• Insurance exp
• Experience with financial ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP), and MS Sharepoint is a plus.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, Power BI certification) is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze IT financial expense reports around large purchase orders, staff augmentation, and consulting spend, amongst other items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint
• Validate and perform data cleansing tasks as necessary
• Conduct detailed trending, variance analysis and provide insights to management on IT expense management performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and improve reporting processes.
• Assist in monthly reporting update processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing relevant financial analysis and insights.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the financial reporting function.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial reports and dashboards.
