Intermediate to Senior Power BI Developer (1) and SQL Data Analyst (1) to develop reports and dashboards for a Retail division.

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking one Intermediate to Senior Power BI Developer and one SQL Data Analyst to develop reports and dashboards for a Retail division.

This is an initial contract to the end of year with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working full-time onsite in the heart of downtown Calgary and provide their own laptop/device upon offer.

Position # 1: Power BI Developer

• 5+ years' experience in Power BI reports and dashboard development

Position # 2: SQL Data Analyst

• 5+ years' experience in SQL and Python Data Analysis for reports creation, data validation, analysis, and manipulation

Both Position Must-Haves:

• Strong expertise in SQL, DAX, and data modeling for multi-dimensional and tabular models
• Proven experience creating dynamic, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI Desktop (open to SSRS, Power BI Report Builder experience)
• Familiarity with Databricks and Azure data workspace
• Familiarity with Snowflake

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop.
• Utilize SQL and DAX to build robust data models and deliver accurate insights.
• Connect and integrate data from Databricks and other backend systems.
• Optimize performance of Power BI datasets and reports for scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful visualizations.
• Reports creation, data validation, analysis, and manipulation of reports supporting a sales and marketing business unit.
