Intermediate Supply Chain Analyst -
Location: Calgary only
Duration: 1 year
Work Schedule: Hybrid (In office Monday Tuesday Thursday WFH Wednesday Friday)
Do you have the experience to help execute on our goal of increasing Indigenous involvement in our supply chain? Supply Chain Management’s Indigenous Engagement team works to drive Indigenous economic engagement into our Projects and operations and to increase contracting opportunities for Indigenous communities and businesses!
If so, this role is for you. We are seeking to increase the use of Indigenous businesses; provide Indigenous Communities and Indigenous businesses with information about economic opportunities, work with our contractors to develop economic opportunities for Indigenous businesses and communities.
What you will do:
• Develop and implement Indigenous Economic Engagement Plans and strategies for Projects and Operations within a defined geography.
• Ensures Indigenous economic engagement within the contracting process for projects and operations within a defined geography through the identification of direct contracting opportunities or the implementation of the Socio-Economic Requirements of Contractors (SERC).
• Collaborates with Public Affairs Communications and Sustainability to develop and manage relationships with Indigenous communities and businesses.
• Supports The Client contractors to ensure they are following the SERC and fulfilling The client’s Indigenous engagement objectives.
Must Have:
• Related university degree, preferably in supply chain management or business.
• Seven or more years of related work experience in Supply Chain or a related function and/or field preferably working with Indigenous communities and businesses.
• Preference may be given to a candidate who identifies as Indigenous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people both internally and externally, including excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to resolve sophisticated problems and negotiate agreements and resolutions to challenging situations, work collaboratively as part of a cross functional team or independently.
Working Conditions:
• Office Environment
• Travel to Indigenous Communities, other client offices, operating regions, and/or supplier locations (domestic and foreign) including time outside of standard business hours, as the need arises, with some locations requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).c
