Intermediate / Senior Cryptography Security Consultant – Quantum Readiness & Cryptographic Discovery

• 6-month contract (high chance of extension)
• Hybrid (3-4 days on-site at Brampton/Mississauga HQ)

Our client (large Canadian enterprise retailer) is seeking a hands-on Cryptography Security Consultant to support a Quantum Readiness initiative focused on enterprise cryptographic discovery, inventory, and lifecycle assessment across a hybrid environment. The resource will work directly with the Cryptography Governance lead and partner with SRE, Platform, and Engineering teams.

• Perform enterprise discovery of SSH keys, SSL/TLS certificates, and cryptographic assets
• Build inventory of cryptography usage across applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
• Assess lifecycle management practices (rotation, revocation, governance gaps)
• Support cryptographic posture assessment for quantum readiness
• Collaborate with SRE, Security, and Engineering teams to map cryptographic dependencies
• Document current-state environment and discovery findings

• 5+ years in Cybersecurity with hands-on cryptography or security engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of PKI, SSL/TLS, SSH keys, and cryptographic lifecycle management
• Experience with enterprise-scale cryptographic discovery and assessment
• Experience with CyberArk, Venafi, Qualys or crypto asset tools
• Experience in hybrid environments (cloud + infrastructure + applications)
• Strong stakeholder collaboration and technical documentation skills

• Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Cloud KMS (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP)
