We are seeking a detail-oriented Retail QA Tester to join our team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in retail environments, particularly with debit/credit card processing (including Mastercard), promotions, and coupons. This role involves testing in a lab setting to ensure high-quality retail software solutions and payment systems.

Duration - 1 year plus extension

Location: Calgary, Alberta (it’s a must)

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute detailed functional, regression, and integration testing for retail applications, focusing on payment processing, promotions, and coupon features.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Test retail systems involving debit/credit card transactions, including Mastercard payment processing.
• Validate promotion logic and coupon application in retail software.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Ensure compliance with payment security standards and retail business rules.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the QA process.

Qualifications:

• Junior to intermediate level experience in QA testing within retail environments.
• Hands-on experience with debit/credit card systems, including Mastercard.
• Familiarity with retail promotions, coupons, and payment workflows.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience working in a lab/testing environment is a plus.
