Location: Downtown Toronto (hybrid x2 days in office)


Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension or conversion to full time)


Job Description: The successful candidate will play a key role within the team to help with Management Reporting and Analysis. The successful candidate is a driven finance professional with strong analytical and technical skills, disciplined time management and organization skills and a keen focus on relationship management.


Must Have Skills:

  • 5-7 years as a Financial Analyst
  • Experience working with Hyperion/Anaplan
  • Banking/FI Experience


Nice to have skills:

  • Credit Card experience


Responsibilities:


  • Works closely with Business and Finance leadership across Canadian P&C and takes initiative to understand the underlying business drivers
  • Works with line of business (credit cards) as well as collaborates across cross functional teams (Risk, Capital, Strategy, Product, etc.) to ensure results are accurately represented and the Key Performance Indicators of the businesses are highlighted for management discussion and analysis
  • Supports the monitoring and management of financial performance against plans, forecasts, initiatives and objectives
  • Key point of contact within Credit Cards Finance team on management reporting deliverables
  • Provides clear direction to partners on reporting requirements and manages timelines accordingly
  • Actively participates in summarizing results for monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • Implement a mindset of ongoing process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency as well as drive analytical insights
  • Maintain internal/external stakeholder relationships.
  • Integrates information from multiple sources (e.g. financial and operational systems) to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
  • Acts as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
