Our client is seeking a Business Analyst who has experience with process analysis for IT operations teams including infrastructure and telecommunications projects.


Details:

  • 1 year contract to start
  • 5 days in office downtown Calgary


Must have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting process analysis for IT operations
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure, network operations, telecom systems, or enterprise technology teams.
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, requirements gathering, workflow design, and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Nice to have:

  • Experience with fiber network environments, telecom operations, or private wireless / 5G initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes such as incident, change, request, and asset management.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Visio, Smartsheet, or other enterprise workflow tools.
  • Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMP, or related certifications.
  • Experience supporting operational transformation or growth-stage infrastructure organizations.



The Senior Business Process Analyst to join our Infrastructure Operations team and play a key role in driving efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence across critical technology environments. This position will support the ongoing delivery of strategic initiatives including fiber expansion, private 5G network deployment, and additional network and infrastructure programs, while improving day-to-day operational processes that enable reliable service delivery.The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who combines strong business analysis skills with experience supporting infrastructure or network operations. This individual will work across technical and business teams to identify opportunities, streamline workflows, improve reporting, and help build processes that scale with organizational growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and improve business processes across infrastructure operations, network services, service delivery, and support functions.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, project teams, and leadership to support execution of fiber, private 5G, and future infrastructure initiatives.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for process improvements, systems enhancements, and operational initiatives.
  • Lead current-state and future-state process mapping, gap analysis, and workflow redesign efforts.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, process documentation, and governance controls
  • Identify manual or inefficient processes and recommend automation or simplification opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful delivery outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, responsiveness, and operational effectiveness.
