Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js/Nest.js and TypeScript to contribute to the development of the PC Health platform

Our client is Canada's largest retailer. They are looking for a Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js/Nest.js and TypeScript to contribute to the development of the PC Health platform. This role involves building and maintaining reliable backend services that power digital healthcare experiences used by thousands of users.

Location: Toronto - 1 day/week onsite

Duration: 5 Months to Start

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services using NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
• Monitor and optimize application performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing systems.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

Must have Skills:

• 3+ years in backend development, with hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
• Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests (e.g., using Jest)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment
