Canada’s largest and most innovative retailer is seeking an experienced Android Tech Lead to spearhead development for its flagship e-Commerce Pharmacy application. This is a critical leadership role that involves setting the technical direction for Android development, aligning with iOS and backend teams, and delivering features such as loyalty programs and checkout functionality at national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of Android solutions using Kotlin and Kotlin Flows.
• Own the Android app architecture, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code.
• Collaborate with backend and mobile teams to define API requirements, leveraging Swagger for integration.
• Guide Android feature implementation across modules like Loyalty, Checkout, and User Profile.
• Drive cross-platform consistency in user experience and functionality, working closely with iOS leads.
• Mentor developers, perform code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement and Agile ceremonies.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure Android technical strategy aligns with broader product goals.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong technical leadership experience in Android development using Kotlin and Kotlin Flows.
• Proficiency in integrating with REST APIs and microservices, using Swagger for API documentation.
• Solid understanding of microservices-based architectures and backend interaction patterns.
• Experience with tools like Jira, and comfort operating in Agile environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with RxJava
• Background in e-Commerce or Pharma/Healthcare domains
