Description
As the Sr. Sourcing Analyst - Beef, reporting to the Manager Beef, Supply Agreements you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including supply planning, production planning, warehousing, transportation, finance, marketing, and operations to ensure executional excellence of product aligning to our service requirements. You will be responsible for executing the procurement strategy and identifying new value-add initiatives to support the organization.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and evolving team as we expand sourcing support to increase company spend under management and deliver a value-driven, results oriented service to our internal and external stakeholders. The Procurement team uses industry leading sourcing processes and mature e-procurement tools to deliver significant value for the company. The successful candidate can expect to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and have immediate opportunities to lead challenging strategic procurement initiatives.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Fulfill beef procurement strategies and reconcile against plans to ensure daily accuracy
- Manage the business relationship with key vendors through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing end-user feedback, and follow up on backorders to ensure executional excellence
- Work closely with Manager to achieve continuous improvement in areas including cost management, procurement strategies, vendor performance, inventory accuracy
- Daily reconciliation to ensure plant requirements are met with inventory and incoming raw materials
- Drive analytics supporting on-going cost reduction projects
- Create and enhance SOPs to ensure business continuity
- Review for accuracy, approve and maintain import documentation for audit requests
- Track and Maintain Beef Quota purchases to comply with Global Affairs Beef and Veal TRQ allocation
- Work closely with plant receiving, A/P and finance teams to expedite receiving and credits
- Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Supply Chain or relevant disciplines
- Results oriented demonstrated in Supply Chain
- Solid analytical skills able to draw insights and form recommendations
- Highly detail oriented with a focus on executional excellence
- Engaged, collaborative team player within a diverse workforce
- Well organized; able to balance multiple competing priorities
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience working in an SAP environment is an asset
