The Functional Implementation Coordinator (WFM) reports to the WFM Lead and drives the implementation of the Time & Attendance (Workforce Management) and Payroll system. They guide Divisions and stakeholders through all key phases of the project-including Requirement Gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Payroll Parallels, Cutover, and Hypercare-while collecting, and ensuring completion of all WFM data requirements.
In this hands-on role, the Functional Implementation Coordinator supports requirement gathering, enforces standardized processes, identifies opportunities to harmonize divisional practices, monitors and ensures completion of data deliverables, and supports Divisions during testing activities. They ensure implementation consultants and Divisions follow approved standards, maintain compliance with U.S. and Canadian labour and payroll regulations, and resolve issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Payroll, General Ledger (GL), Testing, and the PMO.
Your Responsibilities
Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Support
Report to and support the WFM Lead in coordinating functional activities between implementation consultants, Divisions, and internal stakeholders.
Guide Divisions through all key project phases, including Requirement Gathering, UAT, Payroll Parallels, Cutover, and Hypercare.
Clarify requirements, processes, system functionality, and deliverables for Divisions, helping them understand what inputs are needed and how to provide them.
Demonstrate and guide Divisions on how to perform activities within the Time & Attendance system during testing or payroll validation.
Work closely with other functional teams, including Payroll, GL Stream, Testing, and the PMO, to ensure alignment and integrated delivery.
Requirements, Standardization & Harmonization
Support requirement gathering by capturing divisional inputs accurately and completely.
Enforce standardized Workforce Management processes and ensure Divisions adhere to approved procedures.
Identify opportunities to harmonize divisional practices with enterprise standards.
Ensure implementation consultants follow approved designs and do not introduce non-standard solutions.
Escalate deviations, risks, or non-standard approaches to the WFM Lead as needed.
Data Readiness & Validation
Define, collect, and track completion of all Workforce Management (WFM) data requirements.
Facilitate discussions with Divisions and consultants regarding functional data transformation and validation logic.
Guide Divisions through data validation activities and ensure understanding of expected outcomes.
Monitor, and track progress of data deliverables and follow up to ensure timely completion.
Testing Support & Issue Management
Support Divisions during system testing and Payroll Parallels by clarifying test scenarios, execution steps, and expected outcomes.
Assist with defect identification, documentation, and functional triage.
Escalate testing issues, risks, or delays to the WFM Lead and relevant stakeholders.
Support retesting activities following fixes or configuration changes.
Integration & Compliance Support
Understand upstream and downstream integrations impacting Time & Attendance, including Workday to DF.
Advise Divisions on how integrations impact data, processes, and testing activities, and prepare them to understand how the system will operate once they transition to production.
Ensure Time & Attendance configurations comply with U.S. and Canadian labour laws, entitlement rules, and payroll compliance requirements.
Who we are looking for
Knowledge of Time & Attendance systems with experience supporting large-scale, high employee population manufacturing environments.
Prior experience participating in the implementation of an HRIS, Time & Attendance, or Payroll system.
Proven experience in data analytics within large-scale implementations, including data collection, validation, and functional data transformation.
Experience in Human Resources, HRIS Systems, Time & Attendance, or Payroll in both the U.S. and Canada.
Knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements, with an emphasis on U.S. legal labour and payroll compliance.
Proven experience as a data analyst or similar role, preferably within the payroll or workforce management domain.
Your preferred qualifications
Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel or Power BI
Strong data manipulation, cleansing, and validation skills.
Knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
Ability to interpret complex data and present insights clearly and concisely.
Ability to translate complex technical and functional concepts into clear, practical guidance for stakeholders.
