Overview

At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.

Our Supply Chain practice is  seeking a Senior Solution Architect – SAP IBP & ePPDS to lead the overall solution architecture, design governance, configuration build, and integration strategy across Demand, Response & Supply, Inventory Optimization, DDMRP, and ePPDS.

This role will serve as the primary design authority, partnering closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and external partners while overseeing offshore teams to ensure a coherent, future-proof planning platform.

What you will do

  1. Solution Architecture & Design Leadership
  • Serve as the end-to-end solution architect for SAP IBP and ePPDS, defining the integrated planning design across Demand, Response & Supply, IO, DDMRP, and detailed scheduling.
  • Own the core planning architecture, including planning areas, master data modeling, key figures, time profiles, unified planning levels, and version/scenario strategy.
  • Design and validate solution options using industry best practices.
  • Ensure all design decisions align to a scalable, global operating model, supporting growth, GMP compliance, and network expansion.
  1. Functional Configuration & Build Ownership
  • Lead configuration in SAP IBP across:
    • Demand (statistical models, segmentation, causal factors, lifecycle modeling)
    • Response & Supply (heuristics, optimizer, fair-share allocation, prioritization)
    • Inventory Optimization (multi-echelon safety stock, service-level matrices)
    • DDMRP (buffer level modeling, decoupling points, planning profiles)
  • Oversee configuration of ePPDS heuristics and optimization, including:
    • Rough-cut capacity planning
    • Detailed scheduling strategies
    • Resource / PDS / PPM integration
    • Changeovers, scheduling sequences, pegging, and constraints
  • Review and approve all functional specs, configuration rationales, and test scripts.
  1. Integration Strategy & Execution
  • Own the end-to-end integration architecture between S/4HANA, IBP, ePPDS, and external systems.
  • Lead design for CIF, SAP CI/CI-DS, and order-based planning integrations.
  • Ensure master data governance, planning calendar alignment, and demand/supply signal consistency across systems.
  • Validate performance, data quality, and reconciliation processes across time-series and order-based platforms
  1. Technical Governance & Quality Assurance
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, integration patterns, and data modeling guidelines.
  • Oversee solution traceability across design, build, SIT/UAT, and cutover.
  • Ensure a robust security, compliance, and GMP-aligned planning architecture.
  1. Leadership of Offshore and Partner Teams
  • Lead and mentor offshore configuration and development teams.
  • Manage deliverables, sprint priorities, code/config quality, and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between onshore and offshore resources.
  1. Cross-Functional & Business Engagement
  • Serve as the trusted advisor to Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Quality teams.
  • Facilitate design workshops, decision-log governance, and Steering Committee updates.
  • Translate business requirements into system capabilities with clarity and simplicity.
  • Support change management, user adoption, and training strategy.
  1. Program Delivery & Continuous Improvement
  • Take ownership of end-to-end planning scenarios, performance testing, and cutover plans.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities post-go-live, including automation, control tower, scenario planning, and AI/ML extensions.

What you bring to the role

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP Supply Chain Planning across IBP and/or APO (with at least 5 years IBP experience).
  • At least 2–3 full-cycle SAP IBP implementations and 1+ ePPDS or PP/DS implementation.
  • Strong expertise in at least three: Demand, R&S, IO, DDMRP, TS/OBP integration, or ePPDS.
  • Demonstrated architecture ownership on complex S/4 + IBP projects.
  • Hands-on configuration proficiency—planning areas, key figures, supply heuristics, SNP/PPDS logic, CIF, and CI integrations.
  • Experience managing offshore and partner delivery teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with executive presence.
  • Ability to lead workshops and translate complex concepts into clear business terms

Preferred

  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, or GMP-regulated operations.
  • Familiarity with multiple types of manufacturing environments: make-to-stock, make-to-order, small batch, short shelf life, and regulated flows.
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA
  • SAP IBP or PP/DS certifications.
