KPMG’s Business School (KBS) Audit is committed to building the Audit professionals’ knowledge and skills to maintain and uphold audit quality in client work. Towards this end, KBS supports their professional development through development and delivery of high quality, interactive training. The Senior Manager leads staff members and collaborates with stakeholders and clients to analyze learning needs, recommend learning solutions, implement the appropriate delivery systems and evaluate and measure for learning effectiveness. In addition, they assist in organizing, leading and managing the effective execution of multiple projects, including complex strategic projects. Effective execution means consistently completing simple and complex projects on-time and on-budget. The Senior Manager also develops and maintains ongoing relationships with clients, project team members and external vendors.


What you will do

  • Proactively consult with business units to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Consult and collaborate with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze and define learning objectives and learning requirements
  • Collaborate with client teams to deliver high quality learning in a variety of formats (eLearning, classroom training, self-study)
  • Meet course development milestones, ensure delivery of quality learning solutions that meet established learning objectives

As project leader, and as the situation warrants, engages client in performance conversations using performance map and interview methodology

  • Oversees all planning activities including scope and budget planning, work activity definition, sequencing and duration estimating, schedule development, resource planning, risk identification, cost estimating and project plan development
  • Manages the effective execution of projects by:
    o Managing the project's day-to-day activities
    o Leading project meetings
    o Following up with project team members (including track leaders in complex projects) to ensure key milestones are met
    o Coordinates the set-up of all training in the LMS
  • Develops and executes communication plan
    o Maintaining the necessary project documentation and records
    o Proactively resolving project issues
    o Exercising judgment in escalating issues as appropriate
  • Manages the project budget including reviewing invoices to ensure costs are within scope and budget
  • Participates in the thinking and execution of an evaluation and measurement strategy
  • Manages the implementation of evaluation and measurement tools
  • Organizes the work of key team members and stakeholders and coordinates with multiple stakeholders to produce deliverables on schedule and within budget in alignment with quality standards

  • Contributes to strategic goals of the learning team by ensuring connection of deliverables to business outcomes, using sound measurement tools and analyses

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a continuous improvement mindset, ensuring operational efficiency and driving long-term success through ongoing process optimization, innovation and adaptability

What you bring to the role

  • At least 8 years of experience managing national projects in a complex business environment
  • At least 5 years of exposure to learning projects, demonstrating knowledge of learning principles and evaluation of learning outcomes
  • Demonstrated project management experience on large-scale solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in learning evaluation and assessment
  • Experience in consulting and managing challenging SMEs
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects that involved working with multiple stakeholders
  • Adult Education certificate or training in project management and instructional design a definite asset
  • 2-3 years' experience in evaluation and measurement
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Emphasizes and builds the value of service offered to the client
  • Takes pride in being recognized as knowledgeable and experienced in own field
  • Prioritizes issues by using clear project management principles
  • Creative software expertise with an awareness of industry tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects on-time and on-budget
  • Knowledge of Success Factors

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support KPMG employees nationally and will be required to communicate with English-speaking colleagues. This individual will be required to create documentation and share guidance to those in English-speaking provinces.

 

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information   

The expected base salary range for this position is $103,000 to $154,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
