Overview

At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

Are you a talented leader with a proven track record for motivating teams and delivering exceptional client service?

We are looking for a Manager to join our Supply Chain Transformation team to lead transformation programs aimed at rethinking supply chain planning processes, operational models, and technological capabilities. The selected candidate will primarily work with clients in the life sciences, consumer goods, retail, wholesale, and food and beverage sectors.

This position, which involves direct contact with clients, requires extensive experience in process reengineering, designing target operational models, and implementing advanced planning solutions such as SAP Integrated Business Planning, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, and Kinaxis.

What you will do

As part of the Supply Chain Transformation team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading complex programs and work streams related to the transformation of supply chain planning, from the initial assessment through to the deployment and stabilization of new capabilities.
  • Advise senior executives on their planning challenges, transformation priorities, governance models, and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Lead the end-to-end reengineering of supply chain planning processes, including demand, procurement, inventory, replenishment, production, scheduling, and S&OP/IBP.
  • Assess current processes, technologies, data, organizational structures, and governance models to identify gaps, constraints, and the root causes of performance issues.
  • Design integrated, harmonized, and scalable target processes, taking into account the operational and regulatory specificities of the life sciences, consumer goods, retail, wholesale, and food & beverages.
  • Define target operating models.
  • Facilitate design workshops with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment on guiding principles, target processes, design decisions, and implementation priorities.
  • Develop pragmatic transformation roadmaps that incorporate aspects related to processes, organization, technology, data, governance, and change management.
  • Lead or oversee the selection, design, and implementation of planning solutions such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, or other comparable platforms.
  • Translate business objectives and operational needs into functional requirements, use cases, design principles, and sustainable technological solutions.
  • Oversee activities related to functional design, configuration, integration, data migration, testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure that technology solutions effectively support the target processes and objectives of the operational model, rather than simply replicating existing ways of working.
  • Lead the definition of key planning parameters, including product and customer segments, inventory policies, service levels, planning horizons, replenishment rules, and production strategies.
  • Oversee project governance, manage risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and timelines, and provide structured updates to steering committees.
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams composed of consultants, business specialists, technology specialists, and client representatives.
  • Develop team members through regular guidance, constructive feedback, and the creation of learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to business development, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, developing service offerings, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
  • Participate in the development of methodologies, transformation frameworks, accelerators, and best practices in supply chain planning.

What you bring to the role

  • At least seven years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience in management consulting and supply chain transformation.
  • Proven experience at a Big Four firm or a leading consulting firm, delivering complex projects for large organizations.
  • Significant experience leading supply chain transformation programs involving a significant process reengineering component.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing target operating models, including processes, governance, organization, roles, capabilities, data, and technologies.
  • In-depth expertise in several areas of supply chain planning: demand, procurement, inventory, replenishment, production, scheduling, or S&OP/integrated business planning.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major planning platform, such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, or Kinaxis.
  • A solid understanding of the full solution implementation lifecycle, including design, configuration, integrations, data, testing, training, deployment, and adoption.
  • Experience in at least one of the following industries: life sciences, consumer products, retail, wholesale, and food and beverage.
  • Understanding of the challenges specific to these sectors, including demand volatility, product launches, shelf life, seasonality, promotions, capacity constraints, traceability, service levels, and the management of complex networks.
  • Ability to translate complex business challenges into clear recommendations, concrete target processes, and scalable technology solutions.
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, timelines, risks, and relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent skills in communication, workshop facilitation, presentation, and drafting deliverables for senior management.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, structuring analyses, and synthesizing complex information.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • A college degree in operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • A relevant certification, such as APICS/ASCM, PMP, SAP IBP, or a certification related to another planning solution, is a plus.
