POSITION PROFILE
The objective of the Director, Security Services is to build, manage, and grow the security services practice. The Director is accountable for the strategy, profitability and operations of the Security practice while ensuring that its goals are aligned with the company’s priorities. The Director, Security Services will achieve this by directing all security teams, including the SOC, managed security services groups, and a team of billable security architects/consultants to consistently deliver high-caliber security services to clients. This role may also be required to participate in the service design process for security-based services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
• Practice Area Development
o Work with the Service Design group and assist in the development of the “Go-To-Market” strategy for security services
o Assist with the evaluation and development of new service offerings
o Assist with the development of best practices
o Assist with the development of training curriculums
o Attendance at Industry networking events and key tradeshows
o Build and maintain relationships with strategic third-party vendors and partners
• Leadership
o Manage Security Team members (Managed Security Services / SOC / Consulting)
o Subject matter expert in all topics related to security
o Work with the Global Security Services teams to increase the effectiveness of security offerings
o Collaborate with KM ITS organizations worldwide on setting standards around security services
• Business and Security Management
o Work with the National Director to establish the vision for quarterly and annual goals as they related to the company strategy
o Manage the profit and loss for the security business. Ensure new services, solutions and automation are meeting adoption, revenue, and gross margin expectations.
• Business Planning
o Establish the leading and lagging key performance indicators for security operations and consulting teams and report them to the executive leadership team
• Service Delivery
o Manage the delivery of security services
o Partner with Service Delivery Leadership to evolve and optimize delivery model
o Pursue opportunities for efficiencies to ensure our solutions are profitable and delivered with a high level of agility and client satisfaction

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• 15+ years’ experience in cybersecurity
• Expert-level experience in security strategies, technologies, and implementation
• Good knowledge in security industry regulations/standards/frameworks
• Problem-Solving and Analysis: The Director, Security Services is responsible for both wide-impacting and complex services. When issues come up, Director, Security Services must consider the impact of both the problem and solution from many different angles. Solutions must also consider the impact on both internal and external users of the applications and services.
• Independence: The Director, Security Services must exhibit a high degree of initiative. Also, the position must maintain alignment and make judgments as appropriate. Timeliness of decisions is critical and must be effectively communicated to those affected.
• Decision Making: The Director, Security Services carries the responsibility to contribute to decisions on their team. Part of the Director, Security Services’ responsibility is to drive towards decisions and move the effort forward as planned. In many ways, the Director, Security Services may be responsible for decisions; however, they need to ensure alignment with stakeholders, markets, other functional groups, and clients. Decisions are made daily, and the Director, Security Services needs to determine when to seek supervisory assistance for additional guidance. The Director, Security Services must defend and document decisions, strategies, and options to the team and senior management. The Director, Security Services must show autonomy and initiative with a team context. Decisions should be based on established guidelines. Decisions outside of the established policies and precedence guidelines should be consulted with senior management.
