Description
Our client, a respected and award-winning brokerage in Edmonton, is seeking a dedicated Personal Lines Broker to fill a maternity leave coverage. This role offers a unique chance to develop your expertise, manage a diverse book of personal and small commercial insurance, and work alongside a supportive team that values professionalism and innovation.
Compensation
- Base salary $55,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience. Commission options available, including a 25% commission on new business and a 7% annual bonus if KPIs are met.

Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a balanced book of home, auto, tenant, and small commercial insurance policies
- Drive new business acquisition through consultative sales and cross-selling
- Provide exceptional customer service via walk-ins, emails, and phone calls
- Process policy renewals, endorsements, and new applications accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate with underwriters and insurance carriers on policy revisions and claims follow-up
- Maintain up-to-date client records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and underwriting guidelines
- Support team goals related to retention, loss ratios, and overall growth
Qualifications
- Alberta General Level 1 Insurance License (Level 2 preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of personal lines insurance experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and customer service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Small Commercial experience are considered assets
- Knowledge of Epic or similar BMS software
