Personal Lines Broker

Our client, a respected and award-winning brokerage in Edmonton, is seeking a dedicated Personal Lines Broker to fill a maternity leave coverage. This role offers a unique chance to develop your expertise, manage a diverse book of personal and small commercial insurance, and work alongside a supportive team that values professionalism and innovation.

Compensation

• Base salary $55,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience. Commission options available, including a 25% commission on new business and a 7% annual bonus if KPIs are met.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a balanced book of home, auto, tenant, and small commercial insurance policies
• Drive new business acquisition through consultative sales and cross-selling
• Provide exceptional customer service via walk-ins, emails, and phone calls
• Process policy renewals, endorsements, and new applications accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate with underwriters and insurance carriers on policy revisions and claims follow-up
• Maintain up-to-date client records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and underwriting guidelines
• Support team goals related to retention, loss ratios, and overall growth

Qualifications

• Alberta General Level 1 Insurance License (Level 2 preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of personal lines insurance experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and customer service orientation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Small Commercial experience are considered assets
• Knowledge of Epic or similar BMS software
