Our client, a respected leader with over 70 years of delivering practical legal solutions, is seeking a talented Legal Assistant to bolster their dynamic Commercial Real Estate team. What you will do:

  • Assist with preparing correspondence, legal documents, and forms related to commercial real estate transactions
  • Manage and track time-sensitive documents and monitor key deadlines using tickler systems
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, keep calendars up-to-date, and organize client files efficiently
  • Enter dockets, process monthly accounts, and handle off-title due diligence and title searches
  • Act as the main contact for clients and internal communications
  • Perform general administrative duties including scanning, e-filing, and document management
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth workflow and support the lawyers’ legal needs

You bring:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Legal Assistant certification or program
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a law firm or professional services, preferably within commercial real estate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe/Kofax PDF, DocuSign, Workshare Compare, and Teraview
  • Experience with document management systems such as iManage
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset
  • A confident self-starter who works well independently and enjoys team collaboration
  • Unwavering attention to detail, good judgment, and discretion

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with development groups within real estate law
  • Familiarity with legal research and off-title due diligence processes
