Based in Downtown Vancouver, our client is an established real estate developer that has been in business for the past 10 years. They are currently looking to add a Manager, Finance to their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA/CFA with 5+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Manager will play a key role in financial analysis, capital raising, and portfolio oversight across multiple development projects. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain financial models for new and active development projects.
  • Lead and support debt and equity raises across the portfolio, including development financing, refinancings, and equity placements.
  • Prepare materials for capital raises, including lender packages and investment memos.
  • Evaluate acquisition and development opportunities by preparing pro formas, waterfalls, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Review transaction documents (purchase agreements, LP agreements, loan agreements, etc.) and provide a commercial perspective.
  • Act as a main point of contact for lenders, investors, brokers, and legal advisors on active deals.
  • Monitor portfolio performance by comparing actual results to budget, identify variances, and update forecasts.
  • Respond to inquiries from lenders and investors on an ongoing basis.
  • Streamline internal processes, including financial modeling standards and workflows.
  • Present reports to senior management and work on ad hoc projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Designated CPA or CFA.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate finance, development, investment banking, private equity, or commercial real estate lending.
  • Advanced excel skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Salary: $120,000 to $150,000.
  • Discretionary Bonus.
  • Extended health and dental.
  • 3 to 4 weeks’ vacation.
