Our client, the largest Northern Ontario accounting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) to lead and elevate their valuation services. Bring your expertise in public practice, particularly if you have an accounting background in tax or audit, and your CBV designation-ideally with over five years of experience and at the manager level with review responsibilities. We’re looking for someone who thrives on managing projects, reviewing work, and possibly guiding a team. Candidates with a portable book of clients and a connection to Northern Ontario or Sudbury are especially encouraged to apply. Compensation

  • $120,000 - $150,000 base compensation

Essential Skills:

  • Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation
  • Over 5 years of CBV experience, ideally with a focus on private company valuations and litigation support
  • Strong understanding of public practice, especially in accounting, tax, or audit
  • Proven ability to review and manage valuation projects
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships

Nice to haves:

  • Residency in Sudbury or willingness to relocate
  • Track record of building or expanding valuation departments

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent strongly preferred)
  • Certified Business Valuator (CBV) designation
  • At least 5 years of dedicated CBV experience, with demonstrated leadership capabilities

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work remotely or relocate to Sudbury; relocation discussions are welcome
  • Comfort working with partners and managing a review-based workflow
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to contribute to firm growth and client success
