Right now we’re looking for a Unit Aide to work in our Emergency Department. 

 

Humber River Health’s Emergency Department delivers care to over 110,000 patients annually, providing timely, compassionate emergency treatment to patients and families. 

 

Employment Status: Temporary Part-timeDuration: Aug 2026Hours of Work: Available to work rotating shifts(Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends & Holidays)Location: Wilson SiteLabour Group: NOWUReporting Relationship: Manager, Emergency  Dept Hourly Rate: $26.356 - $26.877

 

Responsibilities:

  • Unit Aide duties in Emergency Department.
  • Maintaining and ordering of supplies in the rooms and department.
  • Stocks rooms with required supplies and linen.
  • Cleans equipment and ensures equipment is functional.
  • Ensures that sufficient supplies are on hand for patient care until the next ordering shift.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • CSAO or Sterile Supply Processing certificate preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Good command of the English Language, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physically able to push stretchers, lift and store linen and surgical supplies, clean stretchers. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
