Director, Managed IT Infrastructure & Cloud
About the Role:
The Director, Managed IT Infrastructure & Cloud provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the organization’s enterprise infrastructure, telecommunications, and hybrid cloud environments. This role ensures secure, scalable, and efficient technology services across 500+ locations across Canada while enabling digital transformation and long-term growth.
As a member of the IT leadership team, the Director defines and executes a multi-year roadmap aligned with organizational priorities, balancing innovation, cost optimization, risk management, and service excellence. This includes leading high-performing teams, standardizing infrastructure services, and building strong vendor and partner relationships to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and customer-focused IT solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute hybrid cloud and infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational goals; champion modern, cloud-first practices and digital transformation.
  • Operations & Service Delivery: Oversee enterprise systems spanning data centers, servers, storage, networks, end-user technologies, and cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). Ensure system availability, resilience, and security, including DR/BCP.
  • Vendor & Financial Management: Lead relationships with hardware, cloud, and managed service providers. Manage infrastructure budgets, lifecycle standards, and procurement to optimize value and reduce risk.
  • Security & Compliance: Partner with Information Security to assess risk, enforce compliance, and implement secure, resilient infrastructure solutions.
  • Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals; foster accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with executives, business units, and technical teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business needs.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is an asset (advanced degree/certifications preferred).
  • 10+ years of infrastructure leadership, including 5+ years in hybrid cloud strategy, migration, and management.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure, multi-cloud platforms, virtualization (VMWare, Nutanix), and software-defined networks (Cisco, F5, Palo Alto).
  • Strong background in governance, budgeting (CAPEX/OPEX), and vendor management.
  • Proven success leading high-performing teams and driving large-scale IT transformations.
  • Certifications in Cloud, Network, Security, or Infrastructure Architecture (preferred).
