We are currently looking for motivated and experienced Hydraulic assembler to join our Calgary site!

Job summary

Under the supervision of the Lead Hand, the Hydraulic Assembler assembles, installs, and adjust custom-designed equipment on road maintenance, airport runway, and industrial-use trucks. The role ensures that work is completed in accordance with work orders, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and established delivery timelines.


  • Assemble and install snow and ice attachments, truck bodies and other equipment on trucks
  • Read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, plans, and work instructions
  • Install, adjust, and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Make parts by setting up, calibrating, and operating various workshop machine tools
  • Install, modify, and adjust metal structures on vehicles
  • Assemble and connect electrical wiring and related components
  • Identify anomalies, quality issues, or deviations and determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Organize and plan work to respect work order sequences, standard labor times, customer specifications, and committed delivery dates.
  • Perform work in compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments as required to ensure efficient operations

Requirements

  • Millwright and/or Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification (asset)
  • Relevant technical training related to mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, or industrial equipment installation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and work instructions
  • Between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience in drilling and mounting metal structures
  • Installation of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Relevant experience in the production of dies, tools, or templates for manufacturing production purposes
  • Good working knowledge of and troubleshooting skills for 12V electrical systems and controls (asset)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Ability to fine-tune equipment and tools to optimize performance
  • Adaptability and problem-solving attitude
  • Must have own basic tools to complete tasks
  • Ability to lift loads
  • Commitment to work safely and following company procedures and policies
