Education at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, contract (1 year) Project Coordinator (Learning Experience Designer) to support the design, development and delivery of learning experiences for CAMH’s Global Learning Academy initiatives. This includes eLearning courses/tutorials, user guides and documentation, and other digital learning and support materials.
Reporting to the Manager of Digital Innovation, the Project Coordinator (Learning Experience Designer) will work across multiple teams, including Continuing Professional Development and Evaluation teams, and will collaborate with additional stakeholders including subject matter experts, healthcare professionals and clinical teams, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders. They will work closely with course development teams to identify the training needs of an intended audience and adhere to guidelines and principles related to instructional design, SCORM, adult learning, web accessibility, user experience, and apply principles of equity, diversity and inclusion to learning experiences.
The Project Coordinator (Learning Experience Designer) will collaborate with site & course administrators and UI/UX designers to support the integration of eLearning courses into a learning management system (Docebo), migration of courses from Moodle, create, design and revise eLearning content using Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise 360, troubleshoot technical issues related to eLearning performance where needed, create interactive and engaging learning activities, and conduct quality testing of eLearning courses. They will also create and revise user guides, technical documentation and screencast recordings (using tools such as Camtasia, SnagIt) to orient users to the Docebo platform. The Project Coordinator (Learning Experience Designer) will support the creation of evaluation tools to assess outcomes of educational activities working collaboratively with evaluation coordinators to report on educational outcomes and impact, and analyze learner feedback to continuously improve course effectiveness.
They will be able to manage multiple aspects of work simultaneously, and work independently, as well as with a diverse team. They will keep up with best practices, innovations, research, theories, technologies, and trends in the educational technology field. The candidate will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1025 Queen Street West.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working on learning management systems, and previous experience in health care is required. Knowledge of Docebo and Moodle, eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate products and Adobe Creative suite is required. Knowledge of user experience principles, instructional design models, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards, web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.0), SCORM technical standards, and current and emerging learning technologies is required. Demonstrated knowledge of conducting testing of eLearning courses to ensure functionality, usability and adherence to standards is required. Demonstrated knowledge of technical writing for creation of user guides is required. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written), creative problem-solving, attention to detail and organizational skills are required. Knowledge of web conferencing software such as WebEx or Zoom, and Project Management tools are also required. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, as well as collaboratively in a team setting is required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to and manage changing priorities is required. Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
