Are you interested in joining a growing, full-service Cyber Solutions team where you can help drive strategic approaches to cyber policy and risk transfer? Join Aon’s top-tier Cyber Solutions group in a hybrid environment based in Montreal, where, as a Cyber Broker reporting to the National Cyber Broking Practice Leader, you will play a meaningful role in shaping innovative cyber insurance strategies for clients across Canada.

In this role, you will partner closely with account teams and clients to navigate complex cyber risks, design tailored insurance solutions, and influence market outcomes through expert broking and relationship management. Working within a collaborative national Centre of Excellence, you will gain exposure to a wide range of industries and sophisticated client challenges while continuing to build your expertise in the rapidly evolving cyber and privacy liability landscape. What the day will look like
  • Analyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements
  • Prepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new business
  • Negotiates with underwriters to establish best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage
  • Follows up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are met
  • Approves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals
  • Establishes contacts and cultivates relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clients
  • Participates in client and prospect meetings
  • Collaborates with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business
  • Collaborates with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activities
  • Collaborates to build national initiatives
  • Builds productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 8+ years of Insurance background and knowledge is required
  • Experience with cyber and technology insurance products is desired but not a requirement.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and/or internationally;
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as an essential part of a group and independently with minimal oversight.
  • Careful attention to detail, polished organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Post-Secondary degree or a combination of education and equivalent years of industry experience.
  • Holding a Broker license
  • Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications (i.e. Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) / Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)).
