Cloud First - Software Engineering is a high performing team to join! We focus on client adoption of disruptive technologies, technology architecture and providing specialized skills related to integration, custom software engineering, testing, application modernization, agile and more. We help our clients with the most complex projects including working in open web platforms, DevOps platforms as well as intelligent Computing and Architecture enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and engineering the end-to-end features of a system, from user experience to backend code.
  • The role emphasizes Java Microservices, DevOps CI/CD practices, and backend development utilizing Db2, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Knowledge of creating UI controls and the ability to debug and identify invoked APIs is must.
  • You will use your development skills to deliver innovative solutions that help our clients improve the services they provide.
  • Expected to be a subject matter expert, you will collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively.
  • You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.
  • Additionally, you will provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Planning and steering of Problem & Change Management:
  • Change Management - Review and approval of changes
  • Risk assessment of a change and the implementation of the resulting measures for risk reduction and/or avoidance
  • Infrastructure/Availability Management: that means amongst others: Proactive development of proposals and measures to improve availability for the preparation for planned changes to the application by BMW, for example, a rollout into new markets or a change in the infrastructure environment
  • The support of the checking and assessment of service quality in the processes responsible for operation and development of improvement measures
  • Elaboration of proposals and measures to improve the capacity utilization with the objective to optimize the use of all hardware, Network and Software Resources.
  • Operations Manager responsibilities related to Technical Release Management - The groundwork for the planning and coordination of changes for applications and systems, but above all for the technical/functional maintenance and Projects.
  • Communicate across multiple stakeholders to manage expectations, issues, and outcomes. Expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively. You will be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions. Additionally, you are expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or college diploma in related field.
  • Candidate must possess hands-on experience in DevOps
  • Master proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition with over 6 years of experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in Java, J2EE, and Microservices architecture, with hands-on experience in JUnit testing and key AWS services including ECS, CDK, and RDS.
  • Proven experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code quality through tools like SonarQube, and enforcing code reviews and test coverage best practices. ->Skilled in designing and architecting scalable systems, as well as diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Experienced in working within Agile methodologies and participating in Scrum ceremonies to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Effective in client communication, including regular status reporting, requirement clarification, and stakeholder alignment.

Nice to have:

  • Master proficiency in AWS Architecture is recommended.
  • Master proficiency in Application Design, Microservices and Light Weight Architecture, and Java Message Service is suggested
