  • Responsible for the overall work scope and implementing and managing the standard, goals, policies, etc. of all entities in the total plan for the project or program and reviewing the representation of project scope in schedules
  • Lead schedule planning, developing and maintaining the progress measurement and earned value, schedule reporting, schedule basis, schedule change implementation, and the project Master schedule and plan to meet the project objectives
  • Prepare scheduling and planning procedures and work instructions and ensure that they are followed by the contractors and project team
  • Formulate and maintain the basis of schedule for each baseline schedule, and develop the baseline curves including progress and manpower
  • Generate all progress curves including planned, actual, and forecast
  • Effectively collaborate with risk to develop a summary schedule suitable for quantitative schedule risk analysis in parallel with the Monte Carlo risk analysis process and Risk Mitigation Plan
  • Finalize and sign off on monthly updates and required progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to all internal and external clients
  • Monitor and track slippages and critical and near-critical activities
  • Oversee schedule inputs to the procurement bid process including reporting requirements and milestone dates, and examine bid evaluation and ongoing management of consultants, vendors, and contractors
  • Maintain and optimize the schedule through change management procedures; monitor progress and resolve areas of potential concern. Review and assess schedule impacts due to changes and claims
  • Manage schedule variance, float and trending and schedule KPIs
  • Implement corrective action when performance trends deviate from the baseline
  • Own the management of various schedules audits including those produced by contractors and prepare all required output documents
  • Direct scope changes and claims for schedule and cost impact and provide feedback to financial and contract management staff
  • Execute the assessments and reviews of contractor claims for entitlement and substantiation per the terms of the contracts including leading negotiations on claims or supporting dispute resolution proceedings
  • Advise on submitted claims and early warnings, validity of entitlement, quantification, and proposed mitigation, including assessing and resolving the claim’s merits
  • Engage in claims negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Review submitted early warnings and claims notices, risk assessments, and proposed mitigations
  • Draft and review contractual correspondence on all claim-related matters
  • Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans through the claims management process
  • Define the key scheduling requirements such as activity coding, naming conventions, client requirements, protocols, project calendars, and resource and data libraries
  • Own the progress measurement process, analyze progress and performance data, and assess the extension of time claims
  • Design the forensic analysis process of project schedules, produce recommendations for improvement, and analyze schedule delays
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and schedule risks and develop measures to ensure timely and high-quality planning and scheduling-related deliverables
  • Monitor and manage interfaces between various project components, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Identify and document potential interface risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Ensure that interface activities are integrated into the project master schedule and monitored for potential impacts.
  • Participate with Contractor in Scope Validation and Value Engineering activities, and review cost, schedule, risk, and constructability implications of design options proposed by contractor.
  • perform the review of the schedule constructability and risk elements of the submitted schedules.
  • Actively participate in the supervision, coaching, mentoring and hiring process by interviewing and selecting the best-aligned project controls staff for the company and team
  • Set and interpret clear and focused performance objectives Scheduling services expectations for the project or program while delegating and managing deliverables with Scheduling team members
  • Build and maintain a positive, high-performing team culture with an openness to constructive challenge, continuous improvement, implementation of lessons learned, and an overall ‘right-first-time’ mindset
  • Enforce acceptable standards of workmanship and assess compliance with the project agreement and best practices through every stage of the work
  • Supervise and guide staff performance (including non-company resources) on the project or program to ensure excellence in results
