Senior Manager, Government Accounts

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Government Accounts at Xplore. This role is ideal for someone with background in contract administration, compliance, combined with strong financial acumen. You will play a key role in representing Xplore managing government affairs at the provincial, federal and municipal levels.

• Manage and be accountable for all existing and future private public partnership contracts, and ensure Xplore’s ongoing compliance with funding agreements, including reporting obligations and performance tracking
• Maintain positive relationships with federal, provincial and municipal governments, key stakeholders, constituents and customers along with internal stakeholders
• Facilitate communication with various levels of government relating to contracts as a primary liaison
• Act as primary contact to internal Xplore teams, including advising them of their role in ensuring compliance with contact terms, assisting in the creation of proposals, & support RFP activities
• Maintain and understand business challenges, regulatory and industry trends and market conditions to support our government relations strategy
• Working collaboratively with Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Legal and Regulatory teams to support the growth and development of Xplore’s business, with an eye on opportunities to optimize operations and reduce costs

• 5 - 8 years’ experience either in public sector or in a government relations capacity
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry considered an asset
• Knowledge of municipal, provincial, and federal government landscape
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong writing & communication skills
• Experience interfacing with senior executive and public servants, as well as elected officials such as Members of Parliament
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Political Science, Public Relations, Law, Business, Marketing or Communications
• Fluency in French and English is an asset
