The Department of Athletics is looking for a leader who has proven experience in providing exemplary leadership to and for the student athlete experience. The successful candidate will be managing a program that has exceptional facilities, as well as a knowledgeable, dynamic, energetic, and engaged staff. We are looking for a candidate to lead and develop programs, student athlete services, and staff through the next stage of development for the Intercollegiate program. As a member of the department management team, the Manager, Intercollegiate contributes to the overall management and operations of the Department of Athletics.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Manager, Intercollegiate will manage and oversee multiple facets of varsity team sports including, administration, annual and quadrennial planning, student athlete health and safety, risk management and compliance operations, student athlete registration, compliance to sport governing bodies, adherence to internal and external policies and procedures, support of intercollegiate business activities including but not limited to team budget management, fundraising, revenue generation, scheduling, facility booking, and sport information.
The Manager, Intercollegiate is responsible for the management and mentorship of full-time Head Coaches and part-time Head Coaches, and assist with program delivery. The incumbent of this position manages a significant annual budget and is responsible for providing leadership regarding revenue generation, specifically related to the delivery of technical programming through sport camps and skill clinics.
The Manager, Intercollegiate is responsible for the Student Athlete Development Program (SADP) and day to day planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of SADP services provided to student- athletes consistent with the development of a culture of sport excellence. This includes all programming related to the development and performance of the student athlete to meet their full potential as a scholar, athlete, person, and citizen. They will support annual student athlete and coach education, training and program evaluations and are responsible to ensure all varsity team participants and stakeholders are following Safe Sport practices as outlined in the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) and other applicable Codes of Conduct (OUA, Student Athlete, Coach and Volunteer). In addition, the Manager, Intercollegiate, is responsible for the oversight and management of the complaints and discipline processes outlined in these Codes of Conduct.
The position requires extensive collaboration with the Director along with other Managers and staff across the department and campus community to ensure the appropriate level of services and support are provided. Participating as a member of the inter-university unit, the incumbent assists in creating a departmental culture that embraces Indigenization, equity, diversity, and inclusion and supports student athletes, coaches, and teams in the pursuit of excellence and that contributes to the formulation of programs and services that supports the recruitment and retention of exceptional student athletes, and the holistic needs of these student- athletes.

Requirements
Requirements of the position include:
- Undergraduate Degree in Sports Administration, Kinesiology, Business Administration, or similar program;
- 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Master’s Level education is considered an asset;
- Extensive experience in managing budgets, people, and programs is required.

- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications;

- Attendance at frequent evening and weekend events to fulfill program requirements.

The target hiring salary for this position is minimum and up to 96% of midpoint for the salary grade.
