Position Summary

The technologists within the Imaging Service team are responsible for the safe repair, performance assurance, preventive maintenance, and incoming inspection of imaging systems. The team currently supports Molecular Imaging, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Computed Tomography, Fluoroscopy, and Angiography systems.

This position expands the team's capability into Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), establishing an in-house, frontline technical response for MRI systems. The successful candidate will serve as the primary on-site resource for the operational and infrastructure aspects of MRI support. This will include power quality and continuity, as well as UPS and emergency power readiness. The position will act as the technical liaison between clinical MR teams, vendors, and the inhouse facilities team. This is a developing area of responsibility for the department, and this position will play a key role in shaping the MRI support model. There will be opportunities to support other modalities as needed.

The position works directly with a wide variety of health care professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, medical radiation technologists, and support staff) and medical equipment vendors. This position is located in the downtown core and it is preferred that candidates have reliable transportation for coming into the office on a timely manner.
