Position Summary
The Krembil Brain Institute (KBI) at University Health Network (UHN), a University of Toronto (U of T) teaching hospital, is seeking applicants for the Tanenbaum Chair in Neuroscience Research. The successful candidate currently holds a Senior Scientist appointment at the Krembil Brain Institute and must already hold, or be eligible for, a full-time clinical or status-only academic appointment within the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, U of T, at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The term of the Chair position is 5 years with the opportunity for one 5-year renewal following a successful review.

The Tanenbaum Chair in Neuroscience Research will develop and lead research that supports KBI’s mission to understand brain diseases using preclinical models with a goal of translating bench research to bedside impact. The role will involve active leadership, nationally and internationally, to advance strategies for neuroscience research. The Chairholder will integrate, build and strengthen the Institute’s efforts, and champion collaborative and integrative research to build bridges between KBI, U of T and other TAHSN hospitals. The Chairholder will also collaborate with and leverage the expertise of clinicians and researchers at KBI.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
