Position Summary
The Krembil Research Institute at the University Health Network (fully-affiliated with the University of Toronto) has an opening for a temporary full-time, Research Technician II in the laboratory of Dr. Karun Singh. This position is available for a one-year contract with possibility for renewal.
Dr. Karun Singh is a Senior Scientist at the Donald K. Johnson Eye Institute and Krembil Brain Institute at the University Health Network (UHN). They are also an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. Dr. Singh has expertise in human stem cell models of neurological disorders. The Laboratory projects are focused on:
[1] Developing novel stem cell-based 3D organoid models to study the brain and eye
[2] Integrating omics technologies to understand the molecular basis of neurological and retinal diseases
[3] Discovering new therapeutics to treat neurological and retinal disease
[4] To develop stem cell-based therapies
