Position Summary
Within this position, the Postdoctoral Researcher will pursue research on gene editing of APP and other genes causing familial Alzheimer’s disease. The studies will include the design of components required for prime editing, as well as the development of efficient delivery methods. Apart from correcting disease-causing mutations, the potential of introducing protective mutations will be explored. These strategies will be evaluated on cellular and mouse disease models, in order to determine whether APP editing can reduce pathogenic effects caused by amyloid-beta. In addition to gene editing, the applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in ongoing projects, e.g. development of novel strategies for anti amyloid-beta immunotherapy.

The application should contain a cover letter (maximum 1 page) describing the applicant’s research interests, an updated CV with a list of publications, and copies of diplomas and certificates of higher academic degrees. Please submit as one file.
