Position Summary
The Division of Medical Oncology (DMOH) and Hematology, University Health Network (UHN) requires a Financial Analyst (FA) Level I to work with the Multiple Myeloma (MM) and Related Diseases Clinical Trials Group (MMCTG). The MMCTG at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (PM) has been stablished for the past 23 years. The MMCTG carries a large clinical research portfolio with focus in MM and other related diseases (Amyloidosis, Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia). Our portfolio is composed of industry-sponsored trials and Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs), from Phase I to Phase III, and Expanded Access Programs (EAP). The MMCTG involves a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach and it is strategically structured to work independently, while being part of the Cancer Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) at PM.
Reporting to the MMCTG Senior Clinical Research Manager, the FA I will be a key support to the principal investigators within the MM Program in the analysis, reporting, and reconciliation of the financial activities related to clinical trials. This position requires an action-oriented individual, with an accounting background, strong technical skills, good business acumen, and demonstrated problem solving capabilities and proactivity, and good understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to work with individuals from other areas to achieve objectives, combined with analytical and problem solving skills, an eye for detail and the ability to initiate the follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution.
