Position Summary:
This clinical research position is within the Department of Supportive Care - Division of Palliative Care at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, a large academic cancer hospital that is part of the University Health Network (UHN). The Division of Palliative Care helps patients and their loved ones improve their quality of life when facing problems related to life-limiting illnesses and has an active, internationally known research program, particularly in early outpatient palliative care.

Under the supervision of the palliative care research team, the Clinical Research Study Assistant is responsible for helping with the coordination of clinical trials and other research studies, from protocol review and ethics approval, through to study closure.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an extremely organized, detail-oriented, highly self-motivated, committed, and hard-working individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who enjoys the challenge of working within a multidisciplinary research team.

The ideal candidate has an attention for detail, works well in a team, and has strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must feel comfortable interacting with patients with advanced cancer and their families, and explaining the benefits of palliative care, with direction from the research team.
