For more information, please visit a href=''http://www.thermofisher.com/'' target=''_blank''www.thermofisher.com/a./pp/ppbDivision Specific Information/b/ppAs part of the Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) team (ULS brand), you have the opportunity to join a community of engineers who have strong customer relationships and confirmed technical knowledge within our ULS division./pp/ppbDiscover Impactful Work:/b/ppAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, we enable you to work autonomously and provide field service support to many different customers while developing your professional skills at the same time./pp/ppbA Day in the Life:/b/pulliRepair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products including incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers) and other equipment as needed./liliSchedules and completes detailed preventative maintenance service to assure peak uptime of customer equipment./liliUnderstand customers’ needs to best promote service contracts, services, and new equipment./liliHandle expenses and spare parts inventory in a timely and accurate manner./liliDocument daily service actions through the company work order database./liliMaintains courteous, and knowledgeable communication with customer to ensure alignment of all aspects of the service event (status, cost, scheduling, etc.) (add reference to scheduling autonomy)./liliAccept training on various equipment and product lines to provide stellar service to our customers./liliWork well with numerous manufacturers for day to day warranty related instrument service./li/ulp/ppbKeys to Success/b/ppbEducation:/b/pulliPost-secondary school diploma in electronics engineering or similar military certification with 2 years of proven experience. On the job experience and training may be accepted in lieu of these requirements./li/ulpspanbExperience:/b/span/pulli2 years of experience in field service position./liliKnowledge and experience working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, temperature devices, etc./liliShown proficiency in multiple vendor product lines with minimal direction./liliThree plus years of field service experience in a similar position preferred./liliExperience with delivering excellent customer service skills./liliStrong electronic/electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred./li/ulp/ppbKnowledge, Skills, Abilities/b/pulliRequires proof of Covid-19 vaccination./liliProven record to mentor and train other colleagues with difficult service calls that require technical expertise./liliAbility to operate computers, smartphones and related software efficiently/liliAbility to work independently diagnosing and solving problems with schematics, diagrams, service manuals and other user documentation./liliAbility to focus on customers and ensure partnering across Research Safety Division Field Team (regional/national) if support is needed./li/ulpbWork Environment/b/pulliAbility to lift 50 lbs with assistance, and carry 25-30 Lbs. continuously throughout the day./liliMust wear appropriate Personal Protective attire as required by the customer./liliAbility to drive daily to customer sites within a territory, using a Fleet vehicle./liliSome overnight travel will be required./liliMust have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record./liliAbility to travel internationally for training, as the need arises (passport or appropriate work visa)/li/ulp/ppOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
