A temporary full-time, grant-funded Research Engineer/Physicist position is available immediately, in the Physical Sciences Platform at Sunnybrook Research Institute, to develop and evaluate focused ultrasound research tools   This research group has a multi-disciplinary team of individuals with backgrounds in physics, engineering, biology, and medicine.  The clinical relevance of this work is high, and the pace of research is fast.  This is an excellent environment for a motivated individual interested in the field of medical technology and biomedical engineering to gain valuable skills and experience The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out experimental work, performing data analysis and preparing reports. Candidates require an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering.   Responsibilities include: Designing and fabricating prototype fixtures and devices including acoustic receivers Characterizing devices Evaluating devices in preclinical experiments Developing signal processing pipelines Analyzing research results and preparing reports   Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering Strong experimental skills Prior experience with device or electronics design/fabrication is an asset Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual Ability to work in a team   The position is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad skill set related to biomedical research.    Complete applications only will be considered.
